Crew Profiles:
Captain Eric hails from Boulder Colorado where, as a kid, he learned to sail on racing scows and J-boats in the high altitude lakes near his home. Eric is a U.S. sailing certified keelboat instructor and has taught sailing at America’s top-rated sailing school, J-World, in both San Diego Ca, and Annapolis MD (where he continually received honors as the highest rated sailing instructor, based on customer evaluations). He has taught and coached hundreds of students of various abilities, ranging from learn to sail students, to highly competitive racing teams, and you can rest assured that you’ll be onboard a yacht with a true sailor and an excellent instructor.
Having spent three years as one of the Virgin Island's most popular captains, Eric moved to Grenada with his wife and brought Tachyon with him. He loves the Grenadines and all they have to offer--from restaurants on the beach to the pristine and unspoiled harbors down the island chain, and of course, the excellent sailing. He's learned the best harbors and anchorages, snorkel spots, beaches, beach bars, restaurants, and secret coves, and loves sailing his guests to all of his favorite spots.
Eric’s other passions include skiing (he taught skiing for a season in Winter Park, CO, and is an accomplished telemark, downhill, and backcountry skier), surfing, fly fishing, and traveling, and one of his goals is to sail around the world. Eric is also an experienced and creative bartender…you’re glass will be continually full of very tasty, and usually very strong drinks from Bombay sapphire martinis to fresh pineapple dacqueris. Be prepared to have an unforgettable and ideal sailing vacation experience! |
